Position: Assistant or Associate Professor of
Counselor Education, with background experience and expertise in Clinical
Mental Health Counseling.
Qualifications:
Minimum – Earned doctorate in Counselor Education
and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program; research agenda with
publication in peer-reviewed ACA and other counseling related journals;
evidence of research and scholarship, professional service and leadership,
and/or teaching and supervision related to clinical mental health counseling;
ability to work collaboratively with other faculty to contribute to the
continued growth and development of the counseling programs; experience as a
Counselor Educator; membership in ACA and/or branch divisions; demonstrated
commitment and advocacy for counseling diverse populations; and expertise
compatible and complementary with counseling programs’ focus in the needs of
at-risk children, youth and families.
Preferred – Licensed or license eligible as a
professional counselor in the state of Tennessee; counseling experience in
clinical mental health setting(s); leadership involvement in ACA and/or branch
divisions; success or potential for success in obtaining grant funding for
research.
Responsibilities: Teach graduate courses in
Counselor Education and related areas. Advise, teach, and mentor doctoral and
masters students. Maintain an active program of scholarship and research.
Pursue external funding and provide professional and university service.

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with
experience.
Starting Date: August 1, 2015.
