RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSORS IN GOVERNMENT FIRST GRADE COLLEGES IN THE STATE OF KARNATAKA
Government in their Notification No. ED 300 DCE 2013 (Part-3). Bangalore dated 06-11-2014. have notified Kamataka Examinations Authority as the Selection Authority to conduct Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors in Government First Grade Colleges in the State of Kamataka. Accordingly applications are invited from the eligible candidates as per the provisions laid down in "Kamataka Education Department Services (Collegiate Education Department) (Recruitment) (Special) Rules, 2014*. Applicants have to appear for the Competitive Examination to be conducted by the Kamataka Examinations Authority.
Recruitment will be conducted for the posts of Assistant Professor in the folowing subjects;
Kannada. English, Hindi, Urdu, History, Economics, Political Science. Sociology. Geography, Psychology. Commerce, Journalism & Mass Communication, Management. Tourism Administration, Physics, Electronics. Chemistry, Zoology. Mathematics. Computer Science, Home Science and Social Work.

Subject wise and category wise vacancy positions are hosted on the KEA Website http://Vea.kar.nic.in and also in Kamataka Gazette for the information of the applicants.
Age Limit: The candidates must have attained the age of 22 years and but not have attained the age of>
a. Forty-live years in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes and Category-1 of other Backward Classes:
b. Forty-three years in case of candidates belonging to Category-H(a), 11(b), 11(a) and lll(b) ol other Backward Classes; and
c. Forty years in case of any other persons.
Provided that the maximum age limit prescribed above shall be enhanced by live years to (Ex-serviceman, In-service, NCC Instructor. Village Group Inspector, Bonded Labourer, Census and Widow) those categories, except for differently abled, eligible tor age enhancement as in sub-rule (3) of rule 6 of the Kamataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977. In case of differently abled, the maximum age limit prescribed above shall be enhanced by ten years, as on the last date fixed for receipt of application.
Qualification;
a. Candidate should have passed a Master's Degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade; (50% in case of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Differently abled (Physically and visually disabled / differently abled) categories).
